| As you can see this is a very well bred mare, and a true black, she doesn't even brown in summer, a beautiful mare and I would say is our best mare. She produces beautiful foals with very good dispositions, correct and level confirmation. She is halter trained and easy to handle. | It breaks my heart to sell Shadow, she has been an integeral part of our breeding & showing program and took care of our daughter during the show seasons when she was so very young. Our daughter and her learned to ride together, but now the daughter is grown and Shadow can no longer carry her weight and frame of 5'7". We just really want Shadow to have a retirment home, she is still the best at being a mom and I feel she can still raise a few more foals. She does require consistant hoof care to keep her sound.
